OUR WEEKEND VACATION IN NASHVILLE

DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, PLEASE CHECK WITH EACH VENUE.

Looking for a nice getaway in Nashville, Tennesse? What is there to do in Nashville as a family? Quick road trip in the midwest? Yes, those were all the questions I had when I was planning our last-minute family Spring Break road trip. I’m going to share all the fun, food, and adventures we had in Nashville as a family of four!

WHAT TO DO AS A FAMILY IN NASHVILLE

Nashville is a four-hour drive from Indy, so our plan was to drive up Friday evening so we can start fresh Saturday. We started our adventure with a jammed-packed Saturday but it was worth it! The first stop was The National Museum of African American Music and we could have spent the whole day there because there is so much to see and do! The kids had a rap battle and then Reg and I battled east coast versus west coast style. We all performed in a gospel choir and got our praise on! We listened to music throughout the decades and saved our favorite songs to our bracelets to create our very own playlist. The interactive display was a great way to learn about the artist and what artists influenced them.

FAMILY ADVENTURES IN NASHVILLE

Next, we headed to The Adventure Park At Nashville for some outdoor thrill-seeking fun as a family! We are all about trying new things and creating new experiences. I mean how many times have you climbed a tree, faced your fears of height, and ziplined through the trees? Reg and Cardell were more adventurous than Kayin and me (we did our best). I was so proud to see Cardell and Reg working their way along the tree lines. Kayin and I attempted it with them but that first step was too shaky and too high for us (we would have struggled the entire time) luckily, they have a kid’s course that was perfect for Kayin and me. We did that and ziplined on the training course too for more zipline action. The crew was very helpful and accommodating, I highly recommend this adventure!

WHERE TO STAY IN NASHVILLE

The next day we decided to relax at the pool and venture into the perks of our hotel. Margaritaville Hotel Nashville was pretty unique and gave off a beach resort vibe in Nashville. We ate at the Fins Bar and enjoy our complimentary margarita (when you share your visit on social media after booking you can receive a FREE margarita)!

NASHVILLE FOODIE ADVENTURES

We found some great foodie gems in Nashville! The only thing we didn’t get to do was visit the Goo Goo Shop or any BBQ spot, maybe next time. I can’t stop talking about the donuts we had at Five Daughters Bakery, I mean sooo good that I asked Reg if we could franchise them and bring them to Indy! 100 layers of buttery croissants with delicious toppings and fillings. Yum!

BRUNCHIN’ IN NASHVILLE

Brunchin’ with the fam or anyone is my favorite hobby! I especially love New Orleans food and really want to make another trip there, so when we saw a spot in Nashville with NOLA energy we had to make a stop at Ruby Sunshine! The kids had the normal bacon, eggs, and french toast bites. The fried chicken and french toast bites were calling my name. Reg had the BBQ shrimp and grits.

Nashville was the perfect weekend getaway for our family during Spring Break. I can’t wait to plan another trip either with or without the kids! Reg and I could use another bae-cation! There is so much to see and do that we want to visit again!
