Ok, so when it comes to creating the sponge look these are our fave products to use! I have them all linked in our Amazon Store for easy purchase!

HAIR SPONGE - This is the main attraction and key here for the textured look.

WATER BOTTLE - Low Key...the Plug! Our hair needs moisture and this is my fave water bottle to add that good ol’ H2o to your hair!

CANTU COMEBACK CURL - I love the extra jazz this adds to Cardell’s hair to help fight frizz.

CANTU COCONUT CURLING CREAM - This product is amazing and helps defines and strengthen your hair.

HOW TO SPONGE

Sponging the hair is an art form. Here is a step-by-step tutorial to sponge the hair for that textured look.

1 - Spray water using WATER BOTTLE on hair for moisture and fluff hair upwards with hands.

2 - Spray CANTU COMEBACK CURL on hair to fight frizz.

3 - Add CANTU COCONUT CURLING CREAM to hair for definition.

4 - Use SPONGE on hair. Place the sponge on hair and circle the sponge clockwise in little circles throughout hair. Take your time here and focus on sections and continue using the sponge in little circles clockwise to achieve the desired look.

NOTE - if you are not achieving the desired textured look, it may be time for a trim. I’ve noticed when Cardell’s hair doesn’t sponge well his hair is ready for a wash, deep condition, and trim. Don’t forget to oil the scalp to maintain healthy hair and scalp.
