Our baby girl turned 7 and she asked for a TikTok Party and I think we delivered the best TikTok Party a 7 year old could ask for! Especially, with me planning the party in only a few days…like Amazon Prime few days! In case you are a last minute party planner like myself…I’m going to share with you my tips and tricks to plan and decorate an amazing party in no time!

HOW TO PLAN A TIKTOK PARTY

When we asked Kayin for a theme for her party she said TikTok. I typed how to plan a TikTok party on Pinterest. Then, immediately created a Pinterest Board for party inspiration ideas to help me decided what I can use at home (no cost) and what I can purchase to pull off the TikTok Party Theme. To save cost and to be safe we decided to keep the party small (only cousins near her age). This is my go-to when planning parties for my children. Keep it small, keep it cute.

TIKTOK SLEEP OVER

SleepOver Area: I thought the basement would be the perfect set up for her TikTok Party! Since, this would be a sleepover, I wanted to create a section for them that would be super cute and plush! Our couch is a recliner on both sides and perfect for a large group (often all four of us will fall asleep on it during Movie Nights). Kayin already had one pink plush blanket that I love that comes with two matching pillows. We used that set and purchased another to decorate the couch. We added her pillows that she already had and bam! A perfect plush sleepover section!

TIKTOK LIGHTING

Mood Lighting: Reg and I are filmmakers and we have these new light bulbs that we use to create fun and dramatic lighting when filming our clients. These are perfect to use for home lighting and for creative projects. These light bulbs are my new favorites because they change colors, has white and warm light and dimmable options. I knew setting these lights to a pink and blue would give me that TikTok vibe.

KAYIN Lights: I had the lighting down, a few decorations and really needed a statement piece for her party! I wanted something that would make a statement but also something we could display in her room afterwards! I saw these amazing single letter lights on Amazon! They were the perfect addition and truly set the TikTok party apart!

TIKTOK PARTY DECORATIONS

TikTok Party Decor: Kayin’s Yaya (Grandma) is the party decorating Queen and came to the recuse with the TikTok party banner and streamers. I purchased some TikTok color fringe to place behind the banner and to hide the laundry room door! Placing the TikTok streamers throughout the basement really set off the scene too!

TIKTOK PARTY IDEAS

Activities: We started the party at Noon and Reg took the girls to Defy Indy an indoor jump park to help them run off some energy and to give me time to decorate to surprise them once they all returned. At 3pm, we had immediate family over and had pizza, wings, salad and cake. I didn’t go all out this year on custom cakes and cookies but the cakes at Kroger are still hitting! The girls were amazed with the decorations and they TikTok party area and immediately started making TikToks! Kayin really wanted a gymnastics bar for her birthday and we found her one on Amazon to go with her gymnastics mat that she already had. The girls were flipping and rolling and jumping. Yaya brought paint and sand activities and snacks for the girls! My mom, sister and I painted and made sand art for the girls to take home. The girls ended the night by watching movies, snacking and dancing!

TIKTOK OUTFITS

Matching Outfits: Yaya put her cricut and creative skills to work and make these BOMB TikTok Matching Party Shirts and they had the girls names on the back! I loved them so much! They wore their matching shirts to Defy Indy and had a great time. I purchased them matching pajamas from Amazon for them and they looked so cute making TikTok’s in matching outfits!

I think it’s safe to say this is one of her favorite birthday parties to date! I made the girls a nice brunch and they played some more until Noon. They had so much fun. We rested the rest of the day and then I cleaned the next day. I’m very thankful for our amazing support and help from family to pull this off!
