REMEMBRANCE OF A LOVED ONE KEEPSAKE
My Grandfather, My Paw Paw, James William Dillard loved his striped button-up shirts. When he passed away in April, my sister and I decided we would use a few pairs of his shirts and make pillows out of them, however, we didn’t have a sewing machine. I’M TIRED OF BEING STRONG
I’m tired of being strong. A strong black woman. A strong wife. A strong mother. A strong daughter. A strong friend. I’m tired and I feel like I’m going to break. I must be a diamond, cause baby…this pressure. Whew. Lord. I know I’m not alone in this feeling. Writing and listening to music is a form of my therapy, my release.

HOW NOT TO KILL YOUR FAMILY WHILE QUARANTINE
Sometimes you just have to shoot them with Nerf bullets and start a Nerf gun war. Almost every other night is some type of an impromptu family game night! We play board games and card games, such as UNO, Life, and PieFace. The kids love to play video games with us. I’m the worst in playing Smash Bros but I kick all their butts in Mario Kart. We have watched so many classic movies with them.
